Description

when a new year starts, it is perhaps an idea to move those monthly archives from the previous year(s) together into a year cat -- perhaps with a expendable menu below it, so that you can still "watch" the previous year's months, without having them clutter your sidebar

I dont understand what you mean with clutter the sidebar, as it's only showing the ammount of months you specify in the 'blog_archive_links()' function, or 5 if not given.
