Description (last modified by michiel) (diff)

it seems the spammers have discovered they can spam MvBlog

we'll need a plugin, but also some tools in the admin-section to delete any that come through

could we get:

  • comments in smaller list with check/uncheck boxes for quick delete
  • a permanent delete option (after we've taken the ip's)
  • a spam-plugin, so people won't have to block ip's from their firewall (I wouldn't know how to do this myself)
  • when deleting a comment on a 'next' page, you are automatically returned to the first page : with major spamming it's a bit of a hassle to delete all comments at the moment
  • option to turn off the ability to make comments for older posts (this could be an automatic feature, for instance after 2 months or something)
  • leave the comment-box unchecked unless we check it manually?

In [156] :

Implemented users for a blog. Authors can now decide to turn of anonymous comments. This is a global setting. When activated authors can choose per post wether anon comments are allowed. This is disabled by default so only logged in users can comment.

This patch includes a database update

  • status changed from assigned to closed
  • resolution set to fixed

I dont like the captcha idea. Most of the time they are horrible and unreadable.

I think this ticket is no longer relevant now we have the ability to disallow comments for non-loggedin users
